MAINTAINING MARINE TERMINAL HSE


 

Learners are shown how to maintain health, safety and environmental protection on the terminal.

This unit covers hazard identification and risk assessment at the ship shore interface.

Learners are introduced to marine pollution and forms for the transfer of oil.

Learners find out about the terminal’s role in garbage management on ships.

Learners are taught the procedures for confined space entry for tank inspection.

Learners get a basic lesson on corrosion and the visual inspection of firefighting appliances and

lifesaving equipment Learners find out how to do visual inspections of mooring and lifting equipment.

Learners are introduced to safety management systems and audits and flag and port state control.
